For all of us involved in Argideen Rangers GAA, community is at the heart of everything. Everything we do helps to enrich the communities we serve. As a voluntary led organisation, it is our aim to continuously fill that role for our members with the help of you and any funding that we receive. Fundraising plays a huge role within our community. It determines the future of our club and the impact that we as a club can have on the community that we are delighted to serve.

Argideen Rangers hail from the little village of Timoleague in West Cork. Despite a limited population and small catchment area, for many a year the club has defied the odds to compete with the biggest of clubs in both hurling and football. We are currently playing Intermediate Hurling in Cork while playing Junior A Football in the Carbery Division. Our role of honour includes:-

• Carbery JAFC triumph in 1994

• Cork JBFC triumphs in 1993, 2001, 2008 and 2017

• Carbery JAHC triumphs in 1934, 1993, 1996, 2003

• Cork JAHC triumph in 1996

• Cork IHC triumph in 2005

In recent years Argideen's amalgamation with Barryroe to form Ibane Gaels for underage teams has reaped huge reward, which culminated in the U21 footballers winning the Carbery championship before going on to become County champions on 2016.

For a small club, we have been blessed to see many of our players don the Carbery and Cork kits throughout the years. These include Mark Foley, Barry Harte, Tony Crowley, Rory O'Sullivan, Michael O'Callaghan in years gone by. Jack Lawton of Burrane was a central figure in Cork's Minor footballer team ending a 19 year drought to land the Markham Cup in 2019. This year twins Seán and Fergal Walsh had the rare achievement of both lining out in the starting 15 for the Cork Minor footballers in the Munster SF against Kerry.

With the way of the world today, your support is needed now more than ever. We are so grateful to our many sponsors for their ongoing, unrelenting support. However, with the current pandemic, we are asking you, the public, our members and friends, to support our Club Lotto. With our annual race night and all other fundraising initiatives gone by the wayside on account of restrictions, our weekly lotto draw has become more important than ever.

The Lotto raises vital funds for the upkeep of our club while making valuable contributions to all of our on and off-field-activities.
