Headford GAA Club, established in 1888, is located 25km north of Galway City in the town of Headford, Co. Galway. It offers Gaelic football coaching, training and competition for a range of ages, starting from U6s right up to Adult Level. Our Intermediate team have been highly competitive in the Championship in the last few seasons.
In 1888, a man by the name of William Kyne, went to a meeting of the GAA near Athenry, holding the honory title as the first ever Headford representative in attendance.After that meeting saw the formation of the Headford area’s first ever competitive Gaelic Football team.
