Lisgoold GAA club is the heartbeat of the local community in the East Cork village. It incorporates everyone from the area in some shape or form.People from all walks of life have made a contribution in some way towards the developments at the club over the last five years from members of Lisgoold GAA to the many people from the local area outside of the club who have all helped.
The club used many fields since it was founded back 1887 right up until 1981 when we started to use the fields that we have today. In 1995 we bought the ground from the Woods family which was a great thing at the time and now when you look around the place it is hard to believe considering where we came from and it looks fantastic
Lisgoold GAA is more than a club. We’re a family. A tightly knit community. Our club, our community, our family, survives because of the effort of volunteers and your support. Thanks to you and your support, this funding has helped us and continuing to help us pay for insurance, maintenance, our ESB, heating, buses, referees and much more.
Our goal is to encourage all members of the community to participate in GAA related activities regardless of their background. To reward commitment and participation at all ages and provide encouragement and involvement to players of all abilities, whilst ensuring a safe and protective environment for children.
The GAA’s values are the heart and soul of our club. In every club around the world they are what connects us, what makes us unique and what attracts more and more players, members, volunteers and supporters.
Ní neart go cur le chéile (There is no strength without working together)
